Do I need an account?

No. Bænk works the moment you open it. If you want to keep your benches, sits and saves when you get a new phone, you can link Sign in with Apple or your email on the You tab.

Who can see what I add?

Benches, sits, notes and photos are public: everyone who uses Bænk can see them, along with the name on your profile. Your saved benches are private. Read more in the privacy policy.

Does a photo reveal where I live?

Location and other hidden details are removed from photos before they are uploaded. The bench itself sits where you put the pin.

How do I delete my data?

On the You tab, choose Delete my data. Your sits, saves, photos and profile are removed straight away.

I tipped. What did I get?

Tips keep Bænk free and without ads. Your profile gets a supporter mark, and your own pins turn clay coloured. A tip doesn't unlock anything else. Payments go through Apple, so refunds are handled at reportaproblem.apple.com.

A bench is wrong or a photo isn't OK

Write to heinevh@gmail.com with the bench name and roughly where it is, and I'll look at it. The community guidelines explain what belongs on Bænk.
